This Country Hutch Was Made In PSP 7.02

_____________________________________________________________________

You will need PSP of course for this tutorial if you
don't have it you can get a free trial of the latest
version of PSP to play with for 30 days download it by
clicking on the logo, but the tools are not in the same
places as in PSP 7.02

PSP 9

You will need the Dividers zip file to make it
Get it here.

Save the zip file then open and install it to your
C:/Windows/Fonts folder or save it to a folder and
then open the file and minimize it on your taskbar
it will still show up in your Text tool.

Making the Country Hutch Back

_____________________________________________________________________

1.) Open new image size 500w x 600h transparent 16 mi. colors.
You can flood fill layer 1 with black or a different color
so you can see what you are doing more easily.

2.) Add new raster layer and name it back.

3.) Using the Shapes tool set on no forground and background
color = #FFFAE7 or any color of your choice and set on rectangle.

4.) Make a rectangle in the center of your image not too close
to the top, bottom or sides.

You should have something like this:

5.) Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel preset name =
old fashioned sideboard window
Bevel Shape = Round Row #1 Shape #2
Width = 2
Smoothness = 8
Depth = 8
Ambience = 0
Shininess = 40
Color = cream #FFFAE7
(This is to make it look old.)
Angle = 315
Intensity = 50
Elevation = 30
Save as a psp file.

Adding The Shelves

6.) Add new raster layer. rename it shelf.

7.) Make a thin rectangle across the top portion of your back
image. Repeat Inner Bevel.

8.) Duplicate the shelf layer 2 times.

9.) Move two of them down with the mover tool so they are evenly
spaced this makes 3 shelves and save it.

You should have something like this:

Adding The Bottom To The Hutch

10.) Add new raster layer name it bottom. move this layer below the
shelf and above the back layer.

11.) Using the Shapes tool still on rectangle make a rectangle bellow
your back image.

12.) Using the deformation tool select the bottom corner while holding
down the Ctrl key pull it out so it is angled let go the key and
push the center in to about half way. Apply it. Deselect.

13.) Repeat inner bevel. save

This is what it looks like:

Adding The 1st Lower Bottom To The Hutch

14.) Make back layer active and add new raster layer name it bottom2.

15.) Using the Shapes tool again still on Rectangle make another
rectangle under the last bottom piece use mover tool to position it.

16.) Repeat inner bevel. save

You should have something like this:

Adding The 2nd Lower Bottom To The Hutch

17.) Make back layer active and add new raster layer and name it bottom 3.

18.) You might have to add some more length to your canvas to do this
go to Image/Canvas Size and add enough to make it fit under your
two bottom parts and a little extra. By changing the New Height #
and un-check Center image vertically and make the number go in the
Bottom part and 0 in the Top part. Using your Shapes tool still set
on Rectangle, make a rectangle under your bottom2 image about half
the size of the bottom2 image.

You should have something like this:

19.) Using your font tool set on no stroke and fill = #FFFAE7 or what
ever color your using use the font called = DizzinzDividers = lower
case k, Size = 38, Floating is ticked and Antialias box is checked,
Auto kern box is checked, Kerning =0, Leading = 0, B selected and
Center lines box is selected. Move it to the edge of your bottom 3
rectangle, go to Selections/Defloat, now hit the delete key on your
keyboard. Deselect.

20.) Using the magic wand set on normal and holding down the shift key
select the two center pieces and any pieces that are not attached
and delete them, deselect.

You should have something like this:

21.) Select the rest of the board with the magic wand go to Selections/
Invert now using the lasso tool set on point to point and holding
down the Ctrl key select the open parts of the bord that got deleted
and then hold down the shift key and slelect the outside parts that
have the marquee/marching ants on it this will remove them from the
part to be deleted we only want the top portion not any of the design
on the outside of it now hit the delete key on your keyboard and go
to Selections/Invert and flood fill with your color to fill in the
spaces. Deselect.

22.) Repeat the same inner bevel. Deselect. save You should have something like this:
